The Red Stone Project in South Africa has been shipped successfully.

The 100 MW Redstone solar‑thermal power plant in South Africa is located in the Northern Cape Province and benefits from abundant solar irradiance. Upon commissioning, the project is expected to deliver approximately 480 GWh of electricity annually to the grid, providing a reliable power supply to more than 200,000 households across South Africa.

Valmet has successfully delivered a key pulp‑making technology project to Nine Dragons Paper’s new Beihai plant.

Valmet has signed several new pulp‑making technology orders with Nine Dragons Paper, supplying the company’s newly built pulp and paper mill in Beihai, Guangxi, with two complete chemical pulp production lines, two bleached chemi‑mechanical pulp (BCTMP) lines, a recovery boiler, and multiple denitrification systems. The project will be delivered in phases and is expected to commence operations in 2023.
