South Africa Hongshi 100 MW tower solar thermal power station project is located in North Cape Province, with rich light resources. After the project is planned to be put into operation, it is expected to be able to deliver about 480GWh of electricity to the grid every year, providing a stable power supply for more than 200,000 households in South Africa.
In this project, our company provided the salt tank, deaerator, feedwater heater and pre-start heater equipment for Shandong Electric Power Construction Third Engineering Co., Ltd., which are ASME products.

The salt tank is used for intermediate storage of molten salt in the photothermal power generation project, so that the temperature of the molten salt tank is maintained at a certain temperature, and then the molten salt is transported to the molten salt system.
Deaerator
The main function of the deaerator is to remove the oxygen in the feed water and ensure the quality of the feed water. The dissolved oxygen in the water will make the metal in contact with the water corrosion; if there is gas accumulation in the heat exchanger, it will hinder the heat transfer process and reduce the heat transfer effect of the equipment. Therefore, any gas dissolved in the water is unfavorable, especially oxygen, which will directly threaten the safe operation of the equipment. The deaerator is also a hybrid heater in the feedwater and heat recovery system. At the same time, the drain and chemical make-up water of the HP heater and the drain and exhaust with qualified water quality in all parts of the plant can be introduced into the deaerator for collection and utilization, so as to reduce the loss of steam and water in the power plant.
Heater
Preheater or feed water heater (also known as high pressure heater, referred to as high plus) is the use of steam turbine extraction heating recovery boiler feed water device, it can improve the thermal efficiency of power plant, save fuel, and contribute to the safe operation of the unit.
